Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Loss Ends Bullitt Central's Winning Streak

After a string of six wins, Bullitt Central's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of the DeSales Colts by a score of 2-1. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Colts earlier this season, when they won 10-6.

Jordan Powell was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one double.

Bullitt Central's loss dropped their record down to 20-13. As for DeSales, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Bullitt Central nor DeSales have any future games scheduled.
