Basketball Game Preview: Suncoast Chargers vs. Park Vista Cobras

The Suncoast Chargers will head out on the road to square off against the Park Vista Cobras at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Friday, Suncoast came up short against Dwyer and fell 62-49.

Meanwhile, Park Vista had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They secured a 57-52 W over the Rams. Given the Cobras' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Rams are ranked 389th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Park Vista pushed their record up to 9-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Suncoast, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-4.

Suncoast couldn't quite finish off Park Vista in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 and fell 63-61. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Park Vista's Tray Goldwire, who shot 4-for-6 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds.
