Volleyball Game Preview: Glenbard South Raiders vs. Glenbard East Rams

Glenbard South is 0-4 against Glenbard East since June of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Raiders will face off against the Rams at 5:30 p.m. Glenbard East took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Glenbard South, who comes in off a win.

Glenbard South saw some tournament action on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Saint Viator 2-1.

Meanwhile, Glenbard East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Downers Grove South.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Glenbard East sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 18-25, 25-17.

The victory got Glenbard South back to even at 4-4. As for Glenbard East, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Glenbard South couldn't quite get it done against Glenbard East when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
