Malique Campbell Campbell Turns in Season-Best Performance

Malique Campbell Campbell produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Hanover Area to the win on Saturday. Campbell rushed for 278 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards.

Hanover Area moved to 1-7 with that victory, which also ended their 11-game losing streak. Campbell and Hanover Area will face off against Lake-Lehman on Friday.

Lidge Kellum Dazzles in Wyoming Area Win

Wyoming Area picked up their fifth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Lidge Kellum. Kellum was unstoppable, rushing for 207 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 103 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Kellum must have Lake-Lehman's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Kellum last faced the Knights back in October of 2023, he rushed for 124 yards and a touchdown.

Trustin Johnson Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, Wyoming Area got the W thanks in part to Trustin Johnson playing the best football he has all season. Johnson rushed for 36 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 45 yards and two touchdowns.

This year, Johnson has run in 8 touchdowns while averaging 38.4 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had one rushing touchdown.
