Preview: Liberty vs. James Wood
James Wood have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. They will challenge Liberty on the road at Liberty High School (BE) at 7:00 PM on Friday. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
James Wood suffered a grim 20-45 defeat to Hedgesville two weeks ago. The blowout was painful but not necessarily a suprise as Hedgesville enjoys a considerable advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Meanwhile, if Liberty were riding high off their 54-31 takedown of Chancellor three weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Liberty ended up on the wrong side of a painful 21-55 walloping at Sherando's hands. Liberty were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-42.
James Wood took a serious blow against Liberty the last time the two teams met, falling 0-48. Can James Wood avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
