Kamiakin is 9-1 against Chiawana since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Kamiakin Braves will head out on the road to face off against the Chiawana Riverhawks at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Kamiakin is headed into the game having just posted their biggest win since February 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They breezed by Pasco to the tune of 76-42. The Braves pushed the score to 56-32 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs had little chance of recovering from.

Meanwhile, Chiawana had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 52-49. Given the Riverhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 153rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kamiakin has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Chiawana, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

Kamiakin took a serious blow against Chiawana in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 78-45. Can Kamiakin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
