Preview: West Union Dragons vs. Eastern Warriors
West Union is 2-8 against Eastern since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The West Union Dragons will look to defend their home court against the Eastern Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
West Union suffered their biggest loss since December 15, 2023 on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Whiteoak, falling 73-38. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Union in their matchups with Whiteoak: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Eastern's good fortune finally ran out last Tuesday. They took a 56-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fairfield.
West Union dropped their record down to 3-12 with that defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road. As for Eastern, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.
West Union was taken down by Eastern 83-35 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point West Union was down 56-17.
