On Saturday Okawville will have to hit the road after three straight games at home. They will venture away from home to square off against the Freeburg Midgets at 9:00 a.m. Freeburg took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Okawville, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Okawville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Sparta.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Okawville got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 21-25, 25-10.
Okawville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Freeburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Breese Central.

Okawville's win bumped their record up to 8-19. As for Freeburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-12.
