Softball Recap: Foster Comes Up Short

Foster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Katy Tigers, falling 9-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 8-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2019.

Sienna Shotts made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Foster's loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Katy, their victory was their 26th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foster will face off against Sealy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Foster's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Sealy's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Katy, they will challenge Katy Taylor at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Katy: 0.7, Katy Taylor: 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
