Soccer Recap: Holdrege Takes a Loss

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Holdrege and York meet (four straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was the Dukes who were credited with the win. Joshua Janssen probably wasn't too happy after the contest: he scored every single goal for Holdrege and still walked away on the losing team.

Holdrege's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-5. As for York, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Holdrege will face off against rival Scottsbluff on Saturday. Meanwhile, York is set to take on their familiar foe Aurora at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
