Volleyball Recap: Laguna Creek Beats Del Oro for Their Third Straight Victory

After losing to Del Oro the last time they met, Laguna Creek decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Laguna Creek Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Del Oro Golden Eagles 3-2 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cardinals have posted since March 23, 2024.

Laguna Creek took Del Oro into a fifth set where they got it done with a 15-point win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-20, 17-25, 25-19, 26-11.

Jake Shipley paced Laguna Creek's offense, picking up 19 kills. Shipley got some help from Aidan Wong and his 33 assists. Finally, Gavin Hettrick kept Laguna Creek's defense grounded, leading the team with eight blocks.
