Recap: Beamer Titans vs. Decatur Golden Gators
Even though the Decatur Golden Gators scored an imposing 65 points on Friday, the Beamer Titans still came out on top. Beamer blew past Decatur 87-65. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Beamer.
Caleb Berry had a dynamite game for Beamer, scoring 29 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Berry has scored at least 25% of Beamer's points. Dominic Simpson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Decatur's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tra'Veah Alford, who scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Jaliel Anderson, who scored 17 points.
Beamer's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Decatur, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Beamer will be playing at home against Federal Way at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Decatur, they will head out on the road to face off against Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
