Baseball Game Preview: ThunderRidge Grizzlies vs. Boulder Panthers

The ThunderRidge Grizzlies will challenge the Boulder Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. ThunderRidge will be strutting in after a victory while Boulder will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with ten defeats in a row, ThunderRidge turned things around against Highlands Ranch on Friday. They skirted past the Falcons 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Grizzlies have posted since April 10th.

ThunderRidge got a great performance from Mark Okerstrom as he pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Colton Lien was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Landon Zentner, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Boulder fell victim to Riverdale Ridge and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 9-0 to the Ravens. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Boulder's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for ThunderRidge, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 6-16.
