Basketball Recap: Ten Straight Home Wins for Winner

Winner extended their home winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Carter Craven. The Winner Warriors strolled past the Sully Buttes Chargers with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 68-51 thanks in part to Craven, who dropped a double-double on 37 points and 21 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Winner's points.

Another player making a difference was Shawn Hammerbeck, who posted 13 points and eight rebounds. He has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played.

Winner's record is now 3-0. As for Sully Buttes, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winner and Dakota Valley will round out the year against one another at at 3:30 p.m. on December 30th. As for Sully Buttes, they will square off against Wolsey-Wessington at 4:45 p.m. on December 28th.
