Volleyball Game Preview: Attleboro Bombardiers vs. Taunton Tigers

Attleboro has gone 8-2 against Taunton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bombardiers will welcome the Tigers at 5:15 p.m. Attleboro is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games.

On Monday, Attleboro got the win against Stoughton by a conclusive 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-13, 25-18.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Attleboro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lilliana Wiese, who had nine aces. Those nine aces gave Wiese a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nella Smith, who had 11 digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Attleboro was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in 13 consecutive matches.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Monday. Taunton lost 3-0 to Oliver Ames.

While Taunton was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Oliver Ames' winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-5, 25-15, 25-16.

Taunton now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Attleboro, their win bumped their record up to 13-1.

Attleboro took their victory against Taunton in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Bombardiers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
