Volleyball Recap: Hug Hawks vs. McQueen Lancers

Hug was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the McQueen Lancers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 9th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-9.

McQueen's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nya Lagrone, who had 11 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Lagrone has posted over her last six contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Madi Brenner, who had eight digs and two aces.

Hug's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for McQueen, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Hug and McQueen will both be playing Spanish Springs the next time they take the court. The Lancers will host the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Hawks will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 14th.
