Soccer Game Preview: Montgomery Central vs. Fairview

Montgomery Central is 0-10 against Fairview since May of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Indians will host the Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. Montgomery Central has given up an average of 4.3 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Montgomery Central is headed into Tuesday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Sycamore, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Montgomery Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 298th, while Sycamore are ranked 137th).

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Fairview's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Creek Wood on Monday.

Fairview has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7-1 record this season. As for Montgomery Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Montgomery Central might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Fairview in their previous meeting on April 10th. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Indians were down 3-0.
