Basketball Recap: Hall Skates Past Mendota with Ease

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against LaSalle-Peru, Hall was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They really took it to the Mendota Trojans for the full four quarters, racking up a 53-24 victory. Given the Red Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 246th, while the Trojans are ranked 600th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hall is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Mendota, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Hall will be taking part in a tournament against Harlem at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mendota, they will head out to square off against Newman Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
