Baseball Recap: Keys Gate Takes a Loss

Keys Gate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southridge Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Keys Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Southridge, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Keys Gate will host Palmer Trinity at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last five games Keys Gate has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Southridge, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Miami Christian at 6:00 p.m.
