Basketball Game Preview: Pius X Thunderbolts vs. Standing Bear Grizzlies

The Pius X Thunderbolts will square off against the Standing Bear Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pius X has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Saturday, Pius X was fully in charge, breezing past Duchesne 74-44. The Thunderbolts have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 23 points or more this season.

Keeleigh Knobbe continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, en route to 14 points in addition to five assists and four steals. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in field goal percentage (86%). Hannah Bedient was another key player, putting up seven points along with five assists and five boards.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Standing Bear). They took down Lincoln Northwest 61-43 on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Grizzlies.

Pius X's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.2 points. As for Standing Bear, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.
