 Carmel can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent  game  on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Saratoga Falcons with a sharp  11-1 win. The  victory was familiar territory for Carmel who now have five in a row.
  Hudson Rutherford looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Justin LeMaster and  Matt Maxon did most of the damage at the plate:  LeMaster  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances, while  Maxon  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  JJ Sanchez, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-2.
 Carmel pushed their record up to 16-3 with that  win, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Saratoga, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost ten of their last 11 matchups,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record  this season.
 Carmel will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Salinas at 4:00  p.m. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average, (Carmel: 2.4, Salinas: 3.3) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Saratoga, they will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against Lynbrook at 4:00  p.m. Saratoga is facing Lynbrook at the right time seeing as Lynbrook is stuck on  a  four-game losing streak.
