Preview: Lakeland Regional Lancers vs. Fair Lawn Cutters
The Lakeland Regional Lancers will stay at home for another game and welcome the Fair Lawn Cutters at 4:15 p.m. on January 23rd. Lakeland Regional has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though Lakeland Regional has not done well against Bergen Tech recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Lakeland Regional walked away with a 58-49 win over Bergen Tech.
Noah Pagan was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Meakem, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Fair Lawn entered their tilt with Hoboken with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Fair Lawn came out on top against Hoboken by a score of 67-55 on Sunday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Lakeland Regional's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9. As for Fair Lawn, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home.
