Volleyball Recap: Central Arkansas Christian Comes Up Short

If Central Arkansas Christian was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lisa Academy North on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Episcopal Wildcats on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 19-25, 25-20, 25-18.

Kayla Myers paced Central Arkansas Christian's offense, picking up 15 kills. Myers got some help from Mia Adams and her 16 assists. Alyssa Jansen controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Central Arkansas Christian's loss dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Episcopal, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Central Arkansas Christian will welcome Rose Bud at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs are facing the Ramblers at the right time seeing as the Ramblers are stuck on a five-game losing streak. Episcopal has already played their next contest (against Paris), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
