Basketball Recap: Silverton Comes Up Short

If Silverton was riding high fresh off their 53-23 takedown of Kress last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Silverton Owls took a 38-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Springlake-Earth Wolverines on Tuesday. The Owls have struggled against the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Silverton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Springlake-Earth, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-8 record.

Silverton will take on Lazbuddie at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Silverton is facing Lazbuddie at the right time seeing as Lazbuddie is stuck on a 16-game losing streak. As for Springlake-Earth, they will square off against Kress at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Springlake-Earth will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Kress will have lost four straight heading into Friday's match.
