Basketball Recap: Macon Tigers vs. North Callaway Thunderbirds
Macon had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 53-31 to the North Callaway Thunderbirds on Saturday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderbirds apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2014.
Leading North Callaway to victory were Jamarion Glover and Jacob Blevins. Glover dropped a double-double on 13 points and 17 rebounds, while Blevins had 13 points plus two steals. Another player making a difference was Brodee Biggers, who earned four points plus five rebounds and three steals.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Macon will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Chillicothe at 7:30 p.m. on December 17th. North Callaway also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against Centralia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
