Softball Recap: Forest Wildcats vs. Vanguard Knights
After losing to Vanguard the last time they met, Forest decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wildcats came out on top against the Knights by a score of 7-2 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Gracie Weibenbacher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Reagan Quinn was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Maddi Gabel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Forest hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.
Forest's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Vanguard, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Forest will take on Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Vanguard, they will challenge South Sumter at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
