Basketball Recap: Monterey Comes Up Short

Monterey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by the Glenmora Wildcats 72-23. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 386th, while the Wildcats are ranked 185th).

Monterey's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Glenmora, the win got them back to even at 14-14.

Monterey has already played their next contest, a 61-35 victory against Alexandria Country Day on the 17th. As for Glenmora, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-59 loss against Zwolle on the 17th.
