Crestwood can bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Lower Richland Diamond Hornets by a score of 16-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Knights' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Rylee Creech made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Creech was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Crestwood let Zaire Ransom and Daleah Dixon run wild. Ransom went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one triple, while Dixon went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Dixon a new career-high. Kayla Epps was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.
Crestwood always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lower Richland only posted an OBP of .273.
