Baseball Game Recap: Fort Madison Bloodhounds vs. Mt. Pleasant Panthers

Fort Madison suffered their closest defeat since July 12, 2024 on Monday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (6-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in July of 2024.

Fort Madison's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-11. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 1.33 runs. As for Mt. Pleasant, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mt. Pleasant beat Fort Madison by a score of 13-3 later that day.
