Volleyball Recap: Knightstown Takes a Loss

If Knightstown was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Cambridge City Lincoln on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers came up short against the Hagerstown Tigers on Monday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since September 3rd.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-21, 25-16.

Lanee Swindell paced Knightstown's offense, picking up 11 kills. Swindell got some help from Jaycie Cole and her 22 assists. Cole was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

With the defeat, Knightstown broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 11-9. As for Hagerstown, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-8.

Looking ahead, Knightstown will head out on the road to take on Northeastern at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hagerstown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Blue River Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
