Softball Game Preview: Horatio Lions vs. Genoa Central Dragons

The Horatio Lions will square off against the Genoa Central Dragons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Things were looking good for Horatio after they put the first points on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Genoa Central by a score of 5-4. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Genoa Central's part, Kenzie Owen was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Kelsie Fowler was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

The win was the third in a row for Genoa Central, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Horatio, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
