Basketball Game Preview: Celina Bobcats vs. Panther Creek Panthers

Celina hasn't had much luck against Panther Creek recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Celina Bobcats face off against the Panther Creek Panthers. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Celina will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Aubrey, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Celina blew past Aubrey 58-33 on Friday. The Bobcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Panther Creek had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.7 points) and they went ahead and made it 11 on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 43-29 win over the Indians. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Indians are ranked 257th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Panther Creek has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Celina, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Celina might still be hurting after the 70-46 defeat they got from Panther Creek in their previous meeting on January 3rd. Can Celina avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
