Basketball Recap: Verona Takes a Loss

Verona was the 47-43 winner over Barringer when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Verona Hillbillies fell to the Barringer Blue Bears 42-36.

Verona's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-4. As for Barringer, they moved to 3-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Verona has already played their next match (against Weequahic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Barringer will challenge Tech at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
