Basketball Recap: Moose Lake/Willow River Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hibbing last Saturday, Moose Lake/Willow River came back down to earth. The Moose Lake/Willow River Rebels were outmatched by the Mesabi East Giants and fell 74-45. The Rebels were probably out for revenge after losing 58-19 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Moose Lake/Willow River now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Mesabi East, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.

Moose Lake/Willow River will host Floodwood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mesabi East, they are taking a road trip to take on Carlton/Wrenshall at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
