Softball Recap: Forest Grove Extends Winning Streak to Three

Forest Grove had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Century Jaguars a 1-0 shutout. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Jaguars, too.

Forest Grove's record now sits at 12-5. As for Century, they dropped their record down to 7-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Forest Grove will face off against rival Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Century is set to square off against their familiar foe Glencoe at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Jaguars 4, the Crimson Tide 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
