Baseball Recap: Irving Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Irving's offense. They lost 7-0 to the Lake Highlands Wildcats on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost six in a row.

Irving's loss dropped their record down to 6-19-1. As for Lake Highlands, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4-2 record this season.

While Irving had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
