Basketball Recap: Mesabi East Comes Up Short

Mesabi East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Marshall/Lakeview Christian Academy and fell 90-53. While losing is never fun, the Giants can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while Marshall/Lakeview Christian Academy are ranked 188th).

Mesabi East's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Marshall/Lakeview Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Mesabi East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 90-53 loss against Marshall on the 22nd. Marshall/Lakeview Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
