Highland barely beat Gilpin County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Huskies put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 3-0 victory on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Huskies sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Highland walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-20, 25-10.

Leading Highland to victory were Annabelle Crider and Ryleigh Wares. Crider had 12 digs and three assists, while Wares had five digs. Crider has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Highland was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 15 aces in three consecutive matches.

Highland's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Gilpin County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Highland has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Loveland Classical on the 27th. Gilpin County has also already played their next match (against Clear Creek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
