Basketball Recap: Brackenridge Piles Up the Points Against Fox Tech

There's no place like home for Brackenridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 63-28 win over the Fox Tech Buffaloes. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 22 points or more this season.

Leading Brackenridge to victory were Sarah Arriaga and Ashlynn Cortinas. Arriaga almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine boards, while Cortinas almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine steals. That's the most steals Cortinas has posted since back in November of 2024. Layla Galvan was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to seven steals and five assists.

Brackenridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 16 consecutive contests.

Brackenridge has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 19-15 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Fox Tech, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-21.

Brackenridge will challenge Lanier at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fox Tech, they will welcome Sam Houston at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Sam Houston will roll in looking for their 21st straight victory, something Fox Tech surely won't give up without a fight.
