             Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask Mission Valley). They blew past the Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles, posting  a  62-12 victory. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 24  points or more this season.
  Porter Deters was  his usual excellent self, picking up 131 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 130 yards and three touchdowns on only five passes. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 88 yards. Another passer making a difference was  Jake Mills, who threw for 231 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes.
 The  win made it two in a row for Mission Valley and  bumps their season record up to 5-3. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the  defeat, which was their sixth straight  at home dating back to last season.
 Mission Valley will head out on the road to  challenge  Olpe  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. Mission Valley will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more  points each  matchup than the last. Maranatha Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
