Baseball Game Preview: Center Point Eagles vs. Jackson-Olin Mustangs

The Center Point Eagles will take on the Jackson-Olin Mustangs on Tuesday. Center Point will be strutting in after a win while Jackson-Olin will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Thursday, everything went Center Point's way against Tarrant as Center Point made off with a 23-4 victory. The Eagles have beaten the Wildcats the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Wildcats has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, Jackson-Olin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Wenonah, falling 12-4.

Malik Dowdell was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing five bases while getting on base in both of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Wylam Wright, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Center Point's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Jackson-Olin, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Center Point took their victory against Jackson-Olin when the teams last played on Tuesday by a conclusive 12-2. Will Center Point repeat their success, or does Jackson-Olin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
