Baseball Game Preview: North Creek Jaguars vs. Lake Washington Kangaroos

The North Creek Jaguars will venture away from home to square off against the Lake Washington Kangaroos at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games North Creek has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

North Creek took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over Issaquah. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

North Creek saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Daniel, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave Daniel a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Lake Washington posted their closest victory since April 29, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Juanita 4-3.

Marcello Giusti looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brady O'Cain, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Johnson, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Lake Washington's record now sits at 4-2. As for North Creek, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-3.
