Softball Recap: Washington-Marion Comes Up Short

Washington-Marion fell victim to Iowa and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 16-0 to the Yellowjackets, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Charging Indians haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Washington-Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Iowa, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Washington-Marion wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 15-0 loss against Leesville on the 3rd. As for Iowa, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-4 victory against Eunice on the 2nd.
