Football Recap: Broadalbin-Perth Comes Up Short

Broadalbin-Perth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Granville/Whitehall Golden Horde and fell 44-15.

Granville/Whitehall got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chad Monty out in front who rushed for 124 yards and one TD, and also picked up 55 receiving yards and one score. Monty's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 112 rushing yards dating back to last season. Brandon Beaver helped out on the ground, rushing for 84 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Broadalbin-Perth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Granville/Whitehall, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Broadalbin-Perth will face off against Hudson on Friday. The contest will give the Patriots their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Granville/Whitehall, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Schuylerville on Friday.
