Basketball Recap: Roswell Falls Short of Mayfield in the Playoffs

Roswell and Mayfield squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Roswell had to settle for second. They lost 61-38 to the Mayfield Trojans. The Coyotes haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Mayfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ceanna Mckines out in front who posted 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Serena Carrasco, who scored 14 points.

Roswell's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Mayfield, the victory was the 24th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-3.

Roswell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mayfield, they will face off against La Cueva at 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday.
