Softball Recap: Pioneer Comes Up Short

Pioneer was the 8-2 winner over Cerritos when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Titans took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dons on Tuesday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pioneer's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Cerritos, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Pioneer will be playing in front of their home fans against Artesia at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The Pioneers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Cerritos, they are taking a road trip to square off against Glenn at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
