Baseball Game Preview: Flagstaff Eagles vs. Arcadia Titans

The Flagstaff Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Arcadia Titans at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Flagstaff will be strutting in after a win while Arcadia will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Flagstaff needed a bit of extra time to put away Mountain Pointe. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Pride 3-2.

Tobyn Phillips made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Phillips was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Phillips wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Canyon Kirkman, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs Kirkman has posted since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Arcadia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Perry, falling 13-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Titans have suffered since April 6, 2024.

Cael Donahue was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

The win got Flagstaff back to even at 1-1. As for Arcadia, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
