Soccer Recap: Clarke Central Takes a Loss

Clarke Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lakeside Panthers. That's two games in a row now that Clarke Central have lost by just one goal.

Clarke Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Lakeside, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clarke Central will face off against Apalachee at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lakeside, they will square off against Evans at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Lakeside will be up against Evans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.4 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
