Volleyball Recap: Ravenna Comes Up Short

Ravenna lost against Woodridge back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Ravens came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 3-0. The Ravens have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ravenna took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-10, 25-19.

Jalysia Thompson paced Ravenna's offense, picking up three kills. Thompson got some help from Jordyn Allen and her six assists. Mackenzie Ervin controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Ravenna's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Woodridge, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ravenna is set to challenge their familiar foe Cloverleaf at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Woodridge will square off against rival Coventry at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
