Basketball Recap: Cori Carrier and Taliyah Henderson Secure Win for Hug

Hug won the last time they faced Wooster and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Hug Hawks came out on top against the Wooster Colts by a score of 45-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Hug was led to victory by Taliyah Henderson and Cori Carrier. Henderson went 7 of 14 en route to 17 points along with six steals and five rebounds, while Carrier went 6 for 10 on her way to 13 points in addition to six boards and six steals. Henderson continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Amiah Ahonima, who dropped a double-double on ten boards and ten blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Wooster lost, don't look at KHLOE GLOVER. Despite the final result, she posted 21 points. The match was GLOVER's seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Hug pushed their record up to 10-9 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Wooster, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Hug will face off against North Valleys at 6:00 p.m. on February 5th. As for Wooster, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-47 loss against South Tahoe on the 31st.
